Halloween 2017

We had a great October season! It started with a trip to Barton Hill Farms so I could take pictures of the girls with pumpkins the girls could have fun playing and exploring.

Iyla decided she wanted to be "Bat Cat Girl" again this year, a character she'd invented and rocked two years ago. We did a trial run of the girls' cute kitty sweatshirts:

For Halloween proper, Iyla got to have a pajama day pizza party at her school! And since her pajamas were cat themed, she insisted that they were now a part of her official costume. So here we have Bat Cat Girl 2017:

I unfortunately had to wake Eloise from her afternoon nap, and when I then tried to draw whiskers on her she FLIPPED OUT. No amount of distraction would work, as this is one SMART and stubborn little girl (who was very mad at her Mama). I was pleasantly surprised that I got two pony tails & ear clips on her head... so I'll call that a win for this year!

For the 2nd year in a row we met up with neighborhood friends for dinner and Trick or Treating. Iyla and Juliette had a great time harassing patrons at The Launderette, and running house to house gathering candy.

Happily the rain held off until we were on our way home- at which point we got pretty soaked. All in all we had a blast, and it was so much fun to see Iyla totally "getting it" this year and enjoying everything about the holiday.

Happy Halloween!
