Iyla has become a sleeping machine lately! I assume she is going through a growth spurt, and if there is one thing I know for sure, it's that the second you count on a new THING these babes change it.
For naps, we now almost always get one that is 1 hour, and the other that is 2++ hours. About 3-4 hours of napping/day! Prior to this sleep shift we'd get two 30-40, maybe 50 minute naps.
Iyla has also been doing great with her nights, and last night set a new record. She went to sleep at 7:30 and woke up today at 8:45!! BC and I kept watching the monitor for movement to make sure she was still alive in there. Lucky for him he had 'morning duty,' which pretty much equated to him handing me the monitor at 8:40 when he went to work.
Iyla is definitely doing some serious cognitive growing, and has been such a sweet, delightful, silly little bird lately. Pulling to stand effortlessly, experimenting with new sounds (shrieking is a new fav), and moving place to place with intention. A well rested babe = very happy parents!
I'm wondering just how long this new sleeping phase will last? For now, I am definitely going to enjoy every.single.day of it.
